Hello, I see why you suggest it might be an OK but I'd say it's more likely to be an OEC. The giveaway is the plunger type rear suspension (it's actually swinging arm) and if you blow up the image you can just about make out the large E on the tank. This suspension is more usually seen on the duplex...

Hi folks, long time no speak. I would say that if the bearing if splined to the shaft it will turn with the inner race of the bearing anyway, so there is no reason for the two not to touch. I find a 4BA open ender works okay for most 5/16 tappet adjusters and you can just about get away with a radiator bleed key on 1/4 diameter ones.

if you are using points check on both cylinders ,the timing will probably be more advanced on one cylinder than the other.hence the damage is to one piston?? Good point. Makes sense but do you really need to remove one set of points to reach the auto advance? The condensers cover big slots in the plate which you could get through - but I've always used a cupped washer under the centre bolt to lock it (two ordinary washers would do, one large enough to sit on the cam...
