New Imperial

Just bought and collected some more bikes today, including a 1931 500cc New Imperial that I am told was raced at Mallory Park in the 70's.

I wonder if any pic's exist of it at Mallory Park.

I think small bit of tube would just be something else to come loose and wreck the engine. I'd be looking to see why the small end moved, as it does not look like it ran hot I would check if the rod is bent (any sign of wear on one side of the piston ?) or if the small end fit is looser than it shou...

Pictures are out of focus but it is a 32cc Cyclemate engine, basically a Cyclemaster engine that was fitted to a frame that Norman were contracted to design and make for them. The give away is the foward facing carb inlet, the cyclemaster wheel engine had a rear facing carb. If I remember correctly ...
