Re: CBT or no ?

Well not 100% on this as he passed the CBT before he took the car test but i would have said you are correct , but it maybe you need to take a CBT after the car test to make it valid until the car licence runs out https://www.gov.uk/cbt-compulsory-basic-training/cbt-if-you-have-a-car-driving-licenc...

Re: have registration rules changed?

I registered a bike like this, though it was a 63 frame with 57 engine. No problems. The DVLA have a points system, you get points for original parts (original spec that is, not the actual bits it left the factory with) and need so many to get an age related plate.

Didn't Indian do an inline four about 1910?
Quite a few of the American companies did.

Re: 750 Enfield in line twin

Ugly looking lump isn't it? Looks very square and japanesey, think most UK enfield fans were hoping for a reborn constellation. Probably do well in India itself though. I'd assume they'll have to put FI on EU spec models for emissions, or have it so bunged up it'll not move. And of course, if it is ...

Re: Back on the bikes

Alright mate, welcome to the forum, its quite quiet nowadays but a wee rebuild may waken it up a bit (hopefully) Dont be spending any money until you have the v5 in your name Could be difficult. If you can't find the previous owner, you have to apply for a V5. To do so you'll need an MOT on it, so ...

Re: Can you guys help please

Do you want a brit bike, or is 70's japanese stuff of interest? Plenty of nippy 125-250 bikes from that era. TBH most brit stuff commands a premium, no matter how shit it was in reality. If you go for a bantam, the earlier 125s fetch more money than the later 175s. You can pick up D7s pretty cheap s...

^^^ooo where did you get the Arabic number plates ;) Courtesy of "swirl" effect in Paintshop-Pro lol. These bikes will be domiciled in the new shed, I will have a 5.5mx4.0m space so should have enough room  . The swirl tool has a rather dark history! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Pa...

Bugger, just had a record cavalcade of 27 trams this weekend. Could have made a smoky 28th. Appropriate since I bought it off a bloke up there.

Re: What did you do Today

We were out around the Peaks today with three mates, pretty damn sure I saw Greeno and family playing with trees behind his parent's house. Not me, I live in Derby now. You'll have to pop round for a look sometime. Regards Vulcan, I went to a talk on it a few years ago. As well as the engines being...
