Hmmm, a tricky one. How do the head stock bearings (assume it's separate ball bearing type) fit ? Is there any play/stiffness/notchy-ness when rotating the yolks. If it can all be adjusted as it should you might be OK. Removing the ovalness will probably mean appropriately re-sized head stock bearin...

All of my bikes except the SV1000S will be exempt from the 20th May so timely information, thanks triumph5ta.

Hi Wes, Welcome to the forum. I would gladly chip in with advice on Mikuni VM carbs but have little knowledge of the Keihin PKW. On the AMAL front I have often heard it said that past 10,000 miles use they are usually well worn out, past the point where new chrome slides etc. will make much differen...

A lovely looking machine, Dave. The conical hub brakes never had a good press but like all 2ls brakes attention to set up and regular maintenance will get the best out of them.
