scuff the bores with fine wet and dry to take of the glaze or the rings will take a long time to bed in.

slightly different gas flow through the manifold. the side with less petrol air mixture giving the effect of a weaker mixture?

i used to get it cheap from an auto jumble the guy said its no longer available because castrol have taken them over.

very little thick straight oil will be forced thro a shell big end on a cold start so the engine is running nearly dry for 3 or 4 mins .there is no such restriction with a roller bearing.

i would use 20/50 for a shell type big end ,a straight 40 or 50 may be better for a roller big end.?

are you sure its a breather if you poke a piece of wire thro does it come out in the tank.the reason i ask is for one year the rocker oil feed was from the TOP of the tank and aretro fit to feed from the bottom was issued perhaps you have a mix of parts.?are you sure the oil is not coming from the c...

the only way your theory works is if the periphery of the piston is in contact with the head,there has obviously got to be a gap if you increase the bore the volume in this gap MUST increase.

have you connected the yellow and green wires the right way round. the wire going to A terminal on the old regulator would be the one to connect the black wire to. i assume you have removed the old regulator.
