VMCC FESTIVAL OF 1000 BIKES 2009-THE BEST IS BACK!

The VMCC is proud to announce some very exciting news concerning this year’s event which will be held at Mallory Park on 10/11/12 July 2009.

None other than 4 times World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty MBE will be riding a very special race machine in our “Past Masters” track feature on Sunday 12th July. Also following Norton’s return to the 2009 TT with Michael Dunlop on the new Norton NRV Race Machine both man & machine will be out on track in a feature that will also include some very special celebrity guest riders aboard the new Norton Commando road bikes!

Anyone who attended last year will have seen the massive crowds that swamped Mallory Park on “Past Masters Sunday”. Indeed the event is so popular with riders wishing to enter their machines in the weekends track sessions creating an extra paddock for road going machines has been essential. VMCC CEO James Hewing stated “following on from extensive work at Mallory Park over the last couple of years & the seeding of a large grassy area Mallory will be able to offer much better paddock facilities, especially for those with tents. This will take the pressure off the hard standing area down by the Bridge which is also used as part of our additional paddock & assembly area helping us to develop the event even further”.

Below are just some of the weekend’s attractions-

Track sessions in which the public can ride their own solo, outfit or 3 wheelers take place over both days of the event. Machines will be grouped according to type with Road Machine Sessions on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July with Race Machine sessions on Sunday 12th July only. With prices starting at just £30.00 for the first track session (£20.00 each for further sessions) this event is incredible value as booking just one track session allows 2 people into the whole weekend’s event & what a lot there is to see!
PAST MASTERS TRACK SPECTACULAR
On Sunday 12th July Four Times World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty returns to Mallory Park to ride a very special race machine in our Past Masters Track Spectacular. More Info from the VMCC on this years event :
THE VMCC FESTIVAL OF 1000 BIKES 2009/ACE CAFE ROCK N’ ROLL STAGE

Ace Managing Director Mark Wilsmore, says, "Motorcycles, rock n' roll and the Ace Cafe, three simple expressions, but they represent a powerful fusion, not only in yesteryear's bike scene, but also today. Inspired by our rich heritage and traditions, the cafe still embodies the same values as it did when it was first home to the 'Ton Up' boys and girls and the 'Rockers'. The bikes and the music may have changed, but the spirit remains the same".

"Following on from the success of last years 70th Anniversary of the cafe and the cementing of a relationship with the VMCC, Ace is delighted to be back with the entertainment for this years prestigious Festival Of A Thousand Bikes at Mallory Park on 10/11/12 July, by introducing:-

Friday 10th July.
The Rock n' Roll Society. Bring along your dancing shoes, as these guys will have you out of your seats or at the very least singing along to the best powerhouse versions of "Roll Over Beethoven", "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On", and "Midnighter", served up with a barrel of fun!"

Also till late on both nights of the event in the VMCC “big top” marquee will be regular Ace Cafe DJ “Big Beat Kris”.
