Battery sub for the TC20 Tiger Cub

Unread post by Scooter » Wed Aug 13, 2014 5:07 pm

Need to source a 6v. lead acid battery for my export version tiger cub. Not wanting to go with the OEM style battery. I have had it with batteries you need to add acid to. The more modern maintenance free sealed types are the way to go IMHO.

So my question is, has anyone gone this route using a sealed lead acid battery for their cub? This one would seem to fit the bill nicely and will fit the battery box no problem. The OEM was a 10 amp and this one is 9 amp.

Nothing wrong with that battery. Batteries will get a hard life on 6v systems with an alternator because the voltage control is pretty crude.
