Cheap 5ta crank

Has your Voskhod broke again? Suffering dodgy Italian electrics? Post your tales of woe here. Or ask odd questions about the rear wheel spacer on a Vincent Black Widow, should it take your fancy.

Cheap 5ta crank

Unread post by DAVE M2 » Tue Apr 11, 2017 10:33 am

I won a 5ta crank on eBay last week and am going to collect it

I know the auction could have gone either way but I got it for a bargain price- it needs grinding .
I feel that I should offer the guy a bit more so what's reasonable ?

Cheers

If you place an eBay add using a 99p start or no reserve to minimise fees etc. you have to abide by the winning bid. That's the position I would take having previously sold items for less than I thought they should make.

Yeah,

I know the principle is buyer/seller beware but it just feels a bit stingy
Thought I'd offer him a tenner so he can at least drown his sorrows

Unless he's not a drinker like me. If you list stuff at a low start you usually take the consequences. I'll as kit I did once round something up to a tenner for someone though as I felt sorry for them. I'd not do that these days mind you.
