Hmmm, a tricky one. How do the head stock bearings (assume it's separate ball bearing type) fit ? Is there any play/stiffness/notchy-ness when rotating the yolks. If it can all be adjusted as it should you might be OK. Removing the ovalness will probably mean appropriately re-sized head stock bearing (as original or taper roller). How you remove the ovalness is something out side my machining knowledge, but it could be done if you go the right engineer. Whereabouts in UK are you located ?

Cheers Geoff

thanks Geoff The bearing cups are a loose fit in the headstock. the frame is also twisted at the headstock. it might be best just to scrap it and get another. Im in Bristol

Hi,

I am in Trowbridge so pretty local to you. I have a friend, Nick Anderson, who runs Griff's Reality Motorworks in Bristol. It would be worth contacting him to see if he can help you out as he has done similar work for me in the past.
