Its because they really don't make them like that any more.
I had a 'W' reg Mini Pickup for a while - despite being an 80s model it was clearly made from bits left over from the 60s (string to open the doors and sliding windows).
Hurling it through bends was 'hilarious fun' in an 'I'm on an out of control rollerskate' way !

My missus once took me out for a spin in her mini and whipped it around a roundabout to show me how it was like a rollercoaster but with no warning I almost put my head through the closed window :(

the question arose "why ??" when it is only standard ,,,,, quite simple realy here's bidding on a simmilar type of project ,,,, except this is a cooper "s" the one at 600 quid is about 1/8th of of the price and this has had keen bidding and isn't over yet !!
