End of the Shed

Unread post by hondapartsman » Wed Apr 17, 2013 9:18 pm

The end of my shed is in sight. We have to move and the only place we can find has no room for my shed, no garage ( well there is one but it's being used by friends of the owners who happen to be my bosses) for storage. I guess there's hope there, they might not need the storage one day.
Anyway, I have to put all I can in our storage garage itself ( now 14 miles from where we'll be living) and can maybe get two or three bikes under cover in small enclosed yard and use the small shed there for tools and odds and ends ( if I can stop my wife filling it with junk).
What has to be done has to be done, the bright side is that it's very unlikely we'll get chucked out in a hurry because the owners want to move back in, which is what's happened here.
Now if only my lottery numbers would come up tonight that would be so nice. Really though I have more to think about for a bit, next Tuesday they cut out the cancerous growth in my bladder and we have to hope there'll be nothing worse. Maybe losing the shed isn't so bad.

Thank you, it's a minor thing as such unless there are complications which is very rare. Just not being able to ride for two weeks is a nuisance, but then that's what they say so as always I will take advice but decide for myself in the end.

Shed Saved

Unread post by hondapartsman » Mon Apr 22, 2013 8:49 pm

Possibly, our daughter has suggested they have it in their back garden. Unfortunately that's going to be as far from where we'll be now as my garage is from here now and the garage will be even further away. But at least I'll be able to have a work bench there still and keep some things there and have somewhere to work on bikes if I can get them over there. Then if we get somewhere eventually where I can have the shed again I'll not have to get a new one, and we might get to see more of our daughter. Things are looking up. Now just see what happens tomorrow and after with the cancer thing.

Thank you, yes I'm home okay, bit sore and tired but not to bad. They could not get it all out though, it was bigger and deeper than they thought it was. On Monday I'll know it if was benign or malignant then will see what else needs to be done. At the least it's most likely to be another rather uncomfortable examination. I'm not thinking about it until Monday. No news about the house yet but soon will, I expect. For now some rest and get going again as soon as possible, getting back on the bikes and back to work is mostly on my mind.

Reunited

Unread post by hondapartsman » Fri Jan 09, 2015 6:46 pm

I am reunited with my shed. Now we're living at our daughters I can start using it again. Unfortunately I can't get a bike in there as access is difficult and there's a lot of our daughter and son in laws clutter in there including a large lawnmower. But I do at least have my workbench again, when I can get to it.
