shed heater

Unread post by jimbo1962 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 1:43 pm

I have a complete burner assembly from a domestic boiler that I want to burn diesel, old oil etc in, to heat the shed. Can anyone recommend a set up ( some kind of welded up steel trap ) to direct the flame into for maximum efficinecy and heat extraction?

dont bother modifying the gas burner. try googling 'waste oil heater' im planning to build one inside a cast iron pot belly stove that i have in the shed.

if you want to burn oil diesel etc then the gas burner wont work, unless its from a domestic oil burner. gas burners work completely differently to oil burners.
