What did you do Today
Re: What did you do Today
I got a 2" screw in the back tyre on my 14 today. Somehow it went in flush with the carcass, so just went through a tread block & not into tyre. It's about time my luck changed.

I got out of work early today, it was rude not to take the scenic route home.

MOT'd the sheddy Saab yesterday. £16 of trackrod end seems acceptable for a 219k car that cost £180 back in january.

Moving house monday. She's got the cottage & all the money/effort/time/etc I put into it & I get to start again with feck all.
Wonderful....
On the brightside, I'll have a garage & will finally be able to start rebuilding Stroppy.

Re: What did you do Today
A week into the new place & I've nearly got it sorted for winter.
Had to fix the heating, hot water, insulate the loft, fit a door frame and door to the utility room (single brick uninsulated), rewire the upstairs lights and loads of little bits. Still need to fix the two windows that don't shut properly, but it's already become a warm house unlike the day I got it.
So I spent yesterday out in the Dales to enjoy the sun on busy* main* roads.

Re: What did you do Today
Not just today, but over the last week or so I got my Hinckley Bonnie MOT'd and then set about working on my 59 5ta. I got it together fitted the battery and it fired up after two or three kicks. It soon settled into a strong tickover (the benefit of a new carb, why faff about trying to fix up an almost 60yr old one) and decided to take it out for a wee run to see how it ran.
Good points;
It ran
It stopped when I applied the brakes
All lights work and, the battery is charging
Not so good points;
The clutch is super heavy
There were more false neutrals than a Switzerland v Sweden football match and,
The speedo shot up to 90 and stayed there even when stationary so summit up there
Anyway me and the missus spent a good few hours cleaning it today so it also looks the part now
