Fake NGK plugs

Concerns where raised somewhere over fake NGK plugs causing 2 stroke seizures , this may help you tell what is what

Interesting, it prompted me to go and check some I recently bought on e-bay for the CL, but all okay, they're genuine. I will be on the look out now though, thank you.

but i have had one reply from a biuke shop that said we have old stock plugs that look like the fakes and we know are genuine

It's true, some old stock would look very like the fake ones. Then you'd have to look hard at the quality of the part itself rather than go by the packaging, the colour wouldn't help either as I recall the packaging faded easily in the sun.

Ok, I'll keep an eye out for those. Need to get some new ones for the X5 so I'll be sure to be careful.
