AJS Model 14 my 1st project (picture heavy)

well finally had some time to get in the garage and have a look at the project.
as she came home makes the honda look huge

1st things 1st find out what I will need to get it running so sort out the bits that came with it

looking good so far most bits appear there but short of one pair of collets and a valve spring collar

nice shiney new exhaust :D

interestingly looks like its had a new piston (+40thou) and rebore


next loosley assemble to make sure ive got all the nuts

frames been nicely done think they got a bit carried away with the powder coating though mudguards forks shocks and RED powder coated brake drums :shock:

time to order some parts and a gasket set and lets see if I can get her going

Well the AJS has been languishing in the back of the garage for over a year so thought it was about time to have a look. rebuilt the head yesterday and bolted it all back together fitted the carb and filled the float chamber with petrol and what do you know it fired up 2nd kick :D.
