The Quickly rear wheel was collapsing so I had to sort that out, managed to re tension and true the wheel without having to re spoke it.
Welded a break in the stand, put a new tail lamp bulb in and it's now ready for MOT.

Cant have too many bikes on the road :)

I thought everyone down there was hiding in terror from these fairly typical winter storms that have been overhyped in the news for ages. If I believe all I'd seen on the news I'd swear your house was 20ft under water...

There is some damage here but it's not too bad. Just had to avoid getting too close to the sea when walking the dog, we did get a little wet when the wind caught the sea and dumped some of it on us while walking along the downs.

Some of the beach huts have suffered, the fronts washed away along with a couple of sections of wall. Some paving lifted and a lot of stone washed up into the paths and car park.

We've not been hit very hard here by the weather, the odd power cut and the marshes and water meadows were very flooded for a while, but that's not unusual. The weather has not been bad for riding, a lot of the time, today looks nice. The furthest I'm likely to get is a run around the tarmac outside here though and I'm not even sure I'm up to that today. I'm going to check the VT over though, the new cover came yesterday so I can let it air a bit then cover it up properly now until I can get riding again properly. I tend to uncover at least one bike when the day is nice and let it air a bit, and if feeling up to it have a little ride at the end of the drive.

Jeez, we've had it easy here in London. The park near my house is like a mud bath and I walk that way to work - the BMX track where me and my sons train is in the park and is flooded out. There are a few trees down, nothing near anyone though.

Been using the train as two roads I use on my commute are closed while rail bridges are replaced (scheduled works) and also as it's been raining really hard a lot of mronings. Wish I'd taken the Suzuki today though.
