Acetylene Lighting - Burner threads?

Unread post by Justin Faithfull » Tue Jun 02, 2009 12:54 am

Acetylene burners for early gas lights. I am trying to identify the tapered thread(s) used in a number of early carbide lights.
Any ideas?:?:

It just means it's one of those things only known by, or intended to be known by, the Chosen and/or Initiated, Few.

It's a posh way of saying ;
"Fuck Me ! You'll be lucky to find anyone who knows anything about that weird shit on 'ere !"

Rick springs to mind !

Here is a picture showing the threads I am talking about. As you can see the taper is much sharper than any normal taper thread.
