Whats the other bsa in the background? looks like the over head valve version of the bsa we've got.

It's a 1937 250 B22 Empire Star, laying next to it is a 1938 250 side valve B20 Tourer.

They are for sale but not at a price that would interest me.

The b20's very similar apart from the hand change. What are they wanting for them?

Hi, do you have any more details of the gearbox in the picture? The photo's tiny on my screen I'm afraid.

If it's an early to mid thirties four speed BSA unit, it may be just what we're looking for :)

Sorry but the owner wont break the bikes. so you wont be able to get the gearbox.
