They can be made smaller still, Dennis :D

Ah, but one that fit's a bike is usefull

Geof,
When I called in to see you I mentioned a spark ignition model engine that was my Dad's.
I could not remember the make at the time but it is a Nordec.

The manufacturer even made a supercharger kit to fit an Austin A35 car, wish I could have found one when I was running an A30 with the A35 engine in it.

Mind you I only got 2000 miles out of a new set of crossplys on the A30 with some lively driving.

Hi Dennis,

I googled Nordec and found this page:

http://www.onthewire.co.uk/nordec3.htm

If you read down you see you have a Nordec Special Series II. Quite a rare engine it seems, I'd love to hear it running.

My very first car was an A35, I think I paid £35 for it. It was painted Orange and was referred to as the "Clockwork Creep" (Clockwork Orange was then a recent film).

Like your Quickly, make sure you wear full armoured leathers when riding that beast

Cheers Geoff

That's cool, much cooler than the OS40FP I had in an aerosport 40.

The most evil engine I ever owned, the legendary Cox TD 010

30,000+ rpm on a 2in prop running 40% Nitro fuel, makes your ears bleed :D

I remember those Cox engines Zun. I had an 049 glow engine, wish I could remember what make it was. I also had an Enya 15 and a Merco 35, both with throttle controls. The Enya was bought secondhand and never ran that well. The Merco was crude but actually ran really well. I think the Enya is still in the loft at my parent's house fitted into a control liner.
