Super, that's the T500, Speed Twin, Seeley Honda 750 and T140V Bonnie all Tax and MOT free from 2018
That'll save a few bob each year.

Yup, about £100 a bike I'd say. That covers the cost of the insurance

My understanding is that it applies to cars but not motorcycles...

I think I am wrong.
It's the EU directive itself that gives separate time scales for bikes/trikes and cars - this article explains its best if you're interested:

"It is worth noting at this point that motorcycles at present are not included in the EU directive as regards testing, however what the directive does state is:
From 1 January 2022, two- or three-wheel vehicles – vehicle categories L3e, L4e, L5e and L7e, with an engine displacement of more than 125 cm3;"
Looks like UK govt have done it all at once.
